C: “Great. Someone’s got a bit of a grim fixation, huh?”

You step closer to the weird box on the raised platform and examine it. It is filled with straw and tinder, which doesn’t entirely surprise you.

There are two round indentations on the front of the box, making it look rather uncomfortably like a face. It looks like something might be intended to slot into the indentations. There’s a small plaque over each of the indentations, but you can’t read them without getting even closer.
